Giving Thanks ( a little late)

This year we have much to be thankful for! God has blessed us with: Lily, who is such a little joy, so full of spunk and learning new things everyday, new baby brother coming soon, good jobs, family, friends, and so much more. :)

Lily is thankful for her comfortable Papa. Papa is thankful for naps after yummy turkey.

First Haircut

Lily had her first haircut when we visited Auntie Fred a couple of weeks ago. She was a good girl, sat still on Mama's lap, and looked at the pictures on the camera while Auntie trimmed away. Here she is afterwards wit her first "bob", per Papa's request. :)

More pumpkins

So, this post is quite long overdue b/c Lily's Mama is too busy making quilts and hair bows for an upcoming Xmas boutique. These are pics of Lil and cousin Isaiah from the end of Oct. Isaiah had a great time, Lily was not so happy to be at her second patch in a week. :) She did enjoy the petting zoo at this one!

18 months at the pumpkin patch

Lily, Today you turned 18 months old and you continue to be such a joy! You are so sweet, cuddly, funny, love to explore, and try new things. You can now say: Mama (but usually you call me Dada), Dada, please (plus you do the sign for it), more (which sounds like bore, with the sign), the sign for eat, eyes, nose (sounds like dose), star, ball, dog, duck, baby, apple, up, help (which sounds a lot like up), baba (for water? not sure why?), no-no, bark (for park), uh-oh, and num-num when something is good. So, your up to about 20 words! Your favorite thing to do lately is listen to music and dance. Whatever room we go into you point for where we play the music, bounce up and down, and say please until we turn it on. You still love to read your books, swim with Papa, play hide-n-seek and be chased, and push your stroller around. Some of your new things you do are blink your eyes and smile at new people or when you're flirting, carry purses around, wear Mama's necklaces and bracelets, go in the big girl bath tub (finally!), give kisses to everyone who asks, and try on your pants, shoes, and shirts (although you can't usually get them all the way on yet). You are 85th percentile for height and 45th for weight...you're dropping! Mama thinks it's because you STILL refuse to drink milk (you only drink about 5 oz a day).

We love being your parents and watch you learn and grow! You are our favorite girl in the whole wide world and you're going to be the best big sister to your little brother!

Disneyland

Two weeks ago we went to Disneyland with Nana, Auntie Fred, and cousin Isaiah. It was Isaiah's first time. Needless to say, with two little ones we didn't do much more than eat (of course!), walk, shop, and go on one ride, which both of them were freaked out by. Who knew Winnie the Pooh could be so scary? :)

Lily and Isaiah spent the night with their Mama's at Nana's and Gpa B's house for Nana's bday last week. They had fun playing in the tub!

WA trip

This last week we were in WA visiting churches, spending time with friends, and looking at houses. We were a little nervous about Lily and the plane ride, but on the way there we left at 5:00 am, so she slept and cuddled with Mama. The way home she had her own seat, so she was quite the big girl! She enjoyed looking out the window, reading the magazines, fastening her seatbelt, eating, watching Baby Einstein videos, and playing with Mama and Papa.
While in WA we also got to see Lily's Gma W., cousin C, and Great Gma W., so that was fun!
