Curious

Now that Lily can pull up onto her knees (and ALMOST her feet), she is so curious. She loves pulling all her books off of her bookshelf and then eating them. Hope she has some books left to actually read by the time she's one!

Lily had fun yesterday playing with her boy cousins, Josiah, and Nathan. Josiah LOVES Lily and is so cute with her, I think he'd love her all up if he could. Nathan is 5 weeks older and tries to teach her new skills like pulling up to her feet and walking.

Cheerios~

Lily LOVES Cheerios, so much that they're pretty much her main staple now (after the cardboard box that they come in).

10 Months today!

Lily, you are exactly 10 months old today! We love being your parents and watching your little personality continue to develop. You continue to love meeting new people and smiling at whoever will smile back at you. You love crawling and have just started to do a "real" crawl this past week. You have also just started to pull yourself up to your knees, and clap your hands. Your favorite things: listening to Papa play the guitar, hanging upside down, dancing with Mama, reading and eating your books, exploring, bath time, practicing all your new skills, and watching baby Einstein videos when we let you (which is only when Grandma is here). :) You had a difficult month with food and for many days would eat nothing but muligrain-Cheerios. Oh well, you're still growing and at least you were getting some vitamins! You're really good at drinkng from a sippy cup now, love drinking from the opposite end of the straw and drinking from a cup when we hold it for you. You also pretty much refuse baby food now because you lilke to feed yourself like a big girl! You have learned the word "no" this past month, and usually listen to us when we use it. :) Getting your diaper changed and getting dressed are your least favorite things and you've started to have some little tantrums during these times. You are a happy, sweet girl, and we LOVE you to pieces! We're excited to go with you next week to Hawaii and see how you like the ocean! You're our favorite girl in the whole wide world. Love, Mama

Our baby girl is crawling! Slowly, but surely, she gets where she wants to be, but she's definitely not going to win any speed races! :)

Lily still LOVES bath time (so hopefully she'll love the ocean in Kauai, where we'll be next week!)- and it cracks me up that she still is fine in this itty-bitty bath tub! But hey, it works! :) She's started to wave this past week, you'll see in the video! So fun!

Pulling up

Our big girl just started on Valentine's Day to pull herself up onto her knees. She's more curious than ever, exploring all of the new areas that she couldn't see before.

Cousins

Last night Lily and Mama went for dinner at Auntie Rachel's, Uncle Mickey's and cousins Kade and Kole's house. She ate twice her body weight in the yummy chicken that Auntie R made, had fun playing with the boys, laughed at my crazy Uncle Mickey and all his weird voices, and went on a walk with the girls. So fun! Love cousin time! :)

First Valentine

Today was Lily's first Valentine's Day. She celebrated by playing with Grandma Bartlett, clapping her hands, playing/eating her Papa's guitar, protesting solid foods, reading books, playing with her toys, and going on a short walk. What a great day! :)

The inch worm

Our baby girl has learned TWO new tricks this week! One- she can sit up now on her own from a lying down position, which makes nap time very interesting! Mama found out she could do this "trick" when Lily kept squealing during her nap on Monday and finally went into her room to find the big girl sitting up and flapping her arms. :)
Second trick- she can inch her way across the floor forwards and even better backwards! She will be crawling quickly ANY day now!
