Washington

We arrived in WA on July 27th and had a family bday party for Jonas' sister, Molly. It was fun watching Lily and her big cousin, Chiron, swim in the pool and play. :) We're leaving Grandma W.'s house tomorrow, so we've been here 1 1/2 weeks. Lily has loved playing with Gma, exploring in the grass and dirt, picking and smelling the flowers, playing on the hammock, and exploring Gma's house, especially the stairs.

So, the next few weeks, the plan is to head up to Bellingham to spend time with some of Jonas' friends, camp, go to Victoria, Canada, and then take our time driving home. We'll post again mid August when we're home and have a computer again! Wish us luck driving again with the little explorer, Lilypad! :)

Oregon

Mt. Hood

We took our second road trip since Lily has been born driving straight through to Portland, OR. It took 20 hours, and Lily slept only 7 1/2 of those, despite leaving during her only nap time and driving through the night! We arrived at our friend's house at 10:00 am and had a great time of fellowship with them and their five kids. After a day and 1/2 in OR, we were off to WA to see Jonas' family!

More tricks

Lily is quite the little climber, walker, and talker these days. She is perfecting climbing up onto all of our couches, and into any crate, laundry basket, or container she can find. To help with her climbing, she's learned to say a new word, "up", which she now says in replace of almost everything! She has been completely walking everywhere for about a week and a half (around the fourth she took off), and only resorts to crawling if she's super tired.

Her current list of words (again, when not saying, "up"): uh-oh, Mama, Daya (Papa or Daddy), UP, og (dog), ball, ba (balloon- man, that's a long word), and she can moo like a cow, when she feels like it. :) Our little girl is almost 15 months!~ It's amazing how fast this time has gone! We love you, Lilypad!

I just realized I hadn't posted these pics of our last trip to the cabin. Particularly hillarious to me, b/c like all the grandkids in the family, Lily has taken up drinking at a very young age! (it's ok Grandparents, it's just Rootbeer, for now). :)

Lily and I had our first Mama and Me swim class today and loved it! Lily went under water for the first time and loved it, kicked, jumped in off the side, sang songs, and of course... splashed!

Fourth of July

Lily and I spent the day at G & G's house with Auntie Fred and cousin Isaiah. Lil loved patting Isaiah on the head (pretty funny to see!), and giving him kisses. Gpa Randy bbq-ed and we all went swimmng in the 90+ degree pool! It was a nice, relaxing day!

In the evening Jonas and I took Lil to the drive-in for the first time in about 6 months. She LOVED the back of the bronco and stayed up through all of the first movie, Wall-E, walking around and digging through any compartments she could find. Happy Independence Day!
