11 months old today AND First Easter

Lil, today you turned 11 months old! We can't believe how fast this time with you has gone and that in one month you'll be one year old! This month you've learned to stand up and are moving around a bit when holding onto things, you have become more feisty and cry when you don't get your way (you get that from your Papa, he, he), you started getting your third tooth this past week (on the bottom left), you are saying Mama, Dada, and yeah. You've sort of learned to wave (you hold your hand straight up and out, but don't move it), love to laugh (especially with Papa and Grandma B.), love to explore anything and everything, enjoy "playing" with your friends and cousins, and giving kisses to all babies. We are so blessed to have you as our baby girl. You are such a little ray of sunshine, everyone loves you, but especially Mama and Papa!

I love the wind in my face

Firsts

Lily saw her first parade at Disneyland the other day, with Grandma and Mama. She didn't love it, but everyone else did!

Waiting for parades is not fun...

unless your name is Grandma-ma, then everything is fun!

Wahoo... a parade. What's the big deal? :)

My first balloon. These are neat, especially when they're bigger than me!

My Mama is fun too.

Hooray for Disneyland!

Kauai

We just got back from our first family vacation yesterday (9 days in Kauai, yeah, it was rough!). Lily did really well on the flight over, only crying about 5 minutes before falling asleep for her 2 hour nap. Once we got there, we discovered that Lily did not love the ocean, it was too cold (78 degrees!) for our baby who is used to the bath and her Grandparent's 90 degree pool. We tried three times during the trip, by the last day (of course!), she sat in the water all by herself. :) What she did love was: putting her hands and feet in the sand and eating it, hiking on Papa's back almost everyday,(There were huge waves for 3-4 days which weren't good for snorkeling, so we hiked instead! Mama loved hiking this time b/c she could actually keep up with the hiking- king, since he had a 20 lb baby on his back!), learning to pull herself up and standing, eating coconut and chicken, Terriaki meeting lots of new people, and being with both her parents all day long. She did not do so well on the 9:30 pm flight home because she was exhausted and SCREAMED (yes, really, sweet Lily, SCREAMED) for about 30 minutes and then off and on for the 3 1/2 hours that she slept. To her parents dismay, she woke up at 1:30 a.m. WIDE AWAKE and had a great time playing until we landed at 3:40 a.m. (Hawaii time). Note to self: do not fly again at night with a baby/toddler thinking that they'll sleep the whole time. :) We all enjoyed the great sunny weather and beautiful scenery. First family vacation was a hit!
(FYI- I've changed the blog so you can now add comments easily)

Man, I'm sure tired of my Mama dressing me up.

DAY 2

I HATE the ocean!

At first, I hated sand too!

Until I tasted it, yummm!

We loved watching the sunsets
