Family park day

This past weekend we got out and went to the park in between all the rain! Lily enjoyed the swing with her Papa. She didn't really love the slides, but maybe next time! :)

9 months old!

Today, our baby girl turned 9 months old! It's hard to believe how fast these months have gone! We celebrated by going to Disneyland with Auntie Julie.

At 9 months Lily is ALMOST crawling (she gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth and scooted ONCE yesterday!), she rolls and pivots everywhere, she has started saying "dada" for everything (not for her Papa, though, bummer), she is super curious, she loves to read and turn the pages in books (when she's not eating them), she loves to play with her big legos and in her big carseat box, and likes looking at herself in the mirror and talking to herself.

Her favorite foods are bananas, peaches, bread, tortillas, Mum-mums, puffs, and anything in her sippy cup. She still only has two teeth to eat all of these tasty foods with.

This past month she began waking up every 2-4 hours crying, but has slept the last TWO nights all the way through! We PRAY that she's back to sleeping through the night!

Lily is such a little joy: so loving, happy, smiley and the best thing that's ever

happened to us! We love you, Lilypad!

Little Cousin

Lily's baby cousin, Isaiah Daniel, was born yesterday, Jan. 19, 2007. He was smaller than Lily (6 lbs, 8oz- Lily was 6lb,13oz) and 21 in. He's strong and healthy, and Lily's Auntie Fred is doing well too (she had him naturally, Lily is VERY proud of her!). Lily loved hanging out at the hospital, visiting with family, smiling at all the nurses, and giving kisses to her baby cousin.

New Friend

Lily loves to look at herself in the mirror and discovered yesterday that the baby in the mirror talks back to her!

Big stuff

Lily is getting to be such a big girl. She still doesn't love baby food (she thinks mushy food stinks, just like Mama), but loves ANYTHING that we are eating (also just like Mama). Last night she had real green beans and tortilla for dinner. Healthy? :)

Our big girl has also grown out of her infant car seat and has moved up to the super delux, gianormous car seat that takes up all of Mama's back seat and blocks her over the shoulder view. Like most kids, she LOVED the box, more than what came in it!

The Park

Yesterday, Lily went to the park for her first time! We went with her three B.F.F.s (the triplets) and met her 2 cousins, Josiah (3), and Nathan (10 months). Lily did NOT love the slides, in fact, she seemed to care less, but had fun swinging and lying on the blanket with her friends. Unfortunately, Mama forgot her camara! Next time there will be pics!

Bath and sleepy time

Lily's been having a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep lately, we think due to teething. The things that help her are snuggling with Daddy, and taking a bath.
