It's FUN to be ONE!

Lily Grace, your Papa and I can't believe that you are one today! We were remembering last night how at that time a year ago we were driving to the hospital to have you! You are such a sweet girl, with the best little personality ever! You have grown so much this year and learned to do some many fun things! You are about 25 lbs (we go to the Dr.'s next week, so I'm not sure!), you have 4 teeth on the bottom and are getting your two front ones anyday now. You can say Mama, Dada, and yeah, you love to: play bubbles, take baths, take things apart or out of their containers, "sing", dance, push your new baby stroller, explore, play hide-n-seek, read books, watch Baby Einstein, take naps with Papa, meet new people...and the list could go on and on! This has been the best and fastest year of our lives! We love being your parents, you're our little sunshine!

We celebrated you today by snuggling, playing with your toys, opening presents (you got a shape sorter and shoes from us), daddy brought you flowers, going for a walk in Chino Hills State Park, eating your favorite Teriaki chicken, and having strawberry shortcake. We love you, baby girl! Happy first birthday!

Piggy Tails

To all our faithful readers, aka, Aunties, sorry for the long silence. My computer broke, but has been restored...AMEN! :) Lily will be one in 4 days! I can't believe how it's flown by! She is so curious, crawling and cruising around all the furniture. She loves to laugh, explore, travel, meet new people, drink from a straw, push things across the tile floor, take things out of bags, trash cans, etc., read or flip pages and chew on them, and watch Baby Einstein. Mama is very excited that we've reached our goal of Piggy tails by bday #1. Here's some of the last few weeks pictures.

Lily's Papa has been working a ton, so it's just us girls most of the time. Here we are the other day, snuggling.

The Beach

Now that I've vented (see post below), here are some of the latest pics of our cute girl. We went to the beach last week with our cousins. Lily enjoyed EATING (and barfing up) the sand, while us girls enjoyed some sun. Lots of fun, can't wait for summer!

Venting

SO, Lily's Mama does not normally use this blog to vent, but has decided that since Papa is gone it is NECESSARY tonight. Here is the problem: WHO invented those GIANORMOUS, lame, blue nose aspirators that do not fit up any little kid's nose that I have ever seen? AND, WHY does it take two strong men (who I don't have here, by the way), plus the Mama to hold the child down, who is kicking, flailing their arms, and SCREAMING? My favorite part of this whole experience is that you inevitabley end up poking the baby in the eye (as they're freaking out trying to avoid the HUGE tube getting shoved up their tiny pea sized nostrils), OR, you, the Mama, with good intentions, get stabbed in the eye by one of the arms that somehow got freed from the death grip you had on them. All this to say...Lily still has a really stuffed up nose and I hope she gets over her first little cold...SOON! :)

11 months old today AND First Easter

Lil, today you turned 11 months old! We can't believe how fast this time with you has gone and that in one month you'll be one year old! This month you've learned to stand up and are moving around a bit when holding onto things, you have become more feisty and cry when you don't get your way (you get that from your Papa, he, he), you started getting your third tooth this past week (on the bottom left), you are saying Mama, Dada, and yeah. You've sort of learned to wave (you hold your hand straight up and out, but don't move it), love to laugh (especially with Papa and Grandma B.), love to explore anything and everything, enjoy "playing" with your friends and cousins, and giving kisses to all babies. We are so blessed to have you as our baby girl. You are such a little ray of sunshine, everyone loves you, but especially Mama and Papa!
