Park Days

The last couple of weeks we've been going to the park with friends and cousins. Lily loves walking around (with the help of others or by holding onto things), swinging, & exploring. She's getting so big!

Lily loves to move all our furniture around and show how strong she is. She lets go once in awhile and can stand for a second or two. She'll be walking soon!

First time at the zoo

When Gma Rita was here, we took Lily to the beautiful S.A. zoo for the first time. It was really small, and kinda lame, but we took a lot of pictures, so that's all the Mama really cares about! It was about 98 degrees that day, so Lil was a little calmer than normal, but she did like the monkeys. :)

The first Bday party (finally!)

Lily's first bday party was last weekend (sorry about the lateness of this post, the computer has been down) and a hit! We had it at G & G's house, and had about 40 friends and family members there! The theme was G.I. Joes (for Papa), and polkadots for Lily and Mama. Mama was too busy running around and forgot to take pictures of the tables and stuff, oh well, no one cares about that stuff anyway! Lily's friends included her BFFs, the triplets, and her 6 cousins. The family member who traveled the furthest to be there was Gma Rita who came all the way from WA and spent four days with Lily, lots of fun! Lily refused to take her nap that a.m. (of course!), so by cupcake time she was too pooped out to dive in, and presents, she could have cared less about, so she took a nap instead. Mama loved all her clothes and toys! Happy Bday, one year old!

It's FUN to be ONE!

Lily Grace, your Papa and I can't believe that you are one today! We were remembering last night how at that time a year ago we were driving to the hospital to have you! You are such a sweet girl, with the best little personality ever! You have grown so much this year and learned to do some many fun things! You are about 25 lbs (we go to the Dr.'s next week, so I'm not sure!), you have 4 teeth on the bottom and are getting your two front ones anyday now. You can say Mama, Dada, and yeah, you love to: play bubbles, take baths, take things apart or out of their containers, "sing", dance, push your new baby stroller, explore, play hide-n-seek, read books, watch Baby Einstein, take naps with Papa, meet new people...and the list could go on and on! This has been the best and fastest year of our lives! We love being your parents, you're our little sunshine!

We celebrated you today by snuggling, playing with your toys, opening presents (you got a shape sorter and shoes from us), daddy brought you flowers, going for a walk in Chino Hills State Park, eating your favorite Teriaki chicken, and having strawberry shortcake. We love you, baby girl! Happy first birthday!

Piggy Tails

To all our faithful readers, aka, Aunties, sorry for the long silence. My computer broke, but has been restored...AMEN! :) Lily will be one in 4 days! I can't believe how it's flown by! She is so curious, crawling and cruising around all the furniture. She loves to laugh, explore, travel, meet new people, drink from a straw, push things across the tile floor, take things out of bags, trash cans, etc., read or flip pages and chew on them, and watch Baby Einstein. Mama is very excited that we've reached our goal of Piggy tails by bday #1. Here's some of the last few weeks pictures.
